Turkey vultures are known for killing off extremely lethal demons that aren't visible to the human eye. Thanks to their shiny black feathers, they can use the sun's ultraviolet rays to eliminate harmful bacteria, and their urine works like a very efficient decontamination tool. That's why their scientific name, "Cathartes Aura," can be translated as "golden purifier" or "cleansing breeze."
Many civilizations, like the Egyptians and Incas, have worshipped vultures and built enormous monuments for them simply because they are associated with death, rebirth, and the afterlife.
